HALLOWEEN IN PICTURES
Happy Halloween!

Wondering where Miss Ava is? She spent the day and went trick or treating with Emily. When I get the pictures I will be sure to add them.

HALLOWEEN FUN
The kids took off for school this morning all dressed up and ready for their Halloween parties.
This year we have...
Thing 2 from the ever popular Dr. Seuss books. Miss Emily is Thing 1, but since they don't go to the same school Ava is without her sidekick for the day.
Einstein, who is having a hard time remembering that he indeed discovered the theory of relativity. A little bit of knowledge he needs to be able to relay to his class today during the party. [To tell you truth, I am not sure he even remotely understands what this whole theory of relativity means, but what do you expect from a 6 year old?]
And last but not least, Anthony, my little gorilla.
Sunday I will reveal pictures of Miss Liv and my baby Nathan all dressed up in their costumes. They are going to be cute. I can't wait.

HALLOWEEN
Halloween at the Shelton house.

Turns out the kids were not into being photographed that day. I guess sometimes a 6 year old, 5 year old, 3 year old, and 1 year old just don't feel like cooperating for picture time all at the same time. What do you do? I guess you just take comfort in the fact that you know you did your best with what you were given. At least I managed to get a few pictures of them in their costumes to remember this Halloween year.
And in the end, it really isn't about the pictures at all, it is about the fun they had and the memories that were made. The excitement and anticipation leading up to finally being able to get their costumes on, to getting out there and running from house to house wanting to fill their bags up until they were overflowing, to realizing their little legs could not carry them to one more house without giving out, to getting home and in their jammies, and to finally being able to eat some of that candy they worked so hard to get before climbing into bed after a long day of Halloween fun.
So good pictures or not, it was a happy Halloween. A happy Halloween indeed.

The story of our day out at the apple orchard and pumpkin patch, in pictures.

How is that for packing all kinds of fun into one day?
